    How do beef shares work? <\/span><\/h3><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\nWe are selling in animal shares. You are reserving a share of an animal\nand we take care of the whole process for you. This includes, processing\nand packaging of the beef, ready to be picked up at our farm. This beef\nis processed for your household consumption and not to be resold. We\ntake reservations for the share size you would like and then we take it\nin to processing. After we take them in, the processing and the hanging\ntakes 2 to 3 weeks. We will keep you posted throughout the process and\nwhen it\u2019s ready for pickup we will notify you.\n\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

Cuts include but not limited to\u2026 Ribeyes,\nt-bones, porterhouse, sirloin, sirloin tip, tri-tip, flank, skirt,\nPicanha, cube steak, flat iron, brisket, Osso buco\/soup bones, chuck ,\nshort ribs, rump roast, bottom round roast, top round roast, eye round,\nlondon broil, chuck tender, shoulder tender, Denver steaks, stew meat and ground beef.\n\n<\/span><\/h3><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\nWe ask for a deposit depending on the share size in order to reserve.\nDeposits are as follows: 1\/8 share is $50, 1\/4 share is $75, 1\/2 is\n$150, and a whole is $300.     What does hanging weight mean? <\/span><\/h3><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\nWhen it is taken in to processing, the hoofs, head, skin and organs are\nremoved, then it gets hung. There is a loss from the hanging weight to\nthe final packaged product due to moisture loss, deboning and fat\ntrimming, which is around 30 to 40 percent depending on the type of cuts\nand the animal.\n\n<\/span><\/h3><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
